Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on production support for EKS workloads, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS infrastructure.
- Build and maintain Terraform modules, scripts, and monitoring tools for platform operations, diagnostics, pod health, and deployment issues.
- Respond to incidents in EKS, Istio, and CI/CD systems; support recovery and document resolutions.
- Perform root cause analysis and drive resolution of high-severity incidents across distributed engineering teams.
- Partner with application and DevOps teams on shared projects, onboarding, and delivery tasks.
- Contribute to operational runbooks, infrastructure standards, and platform reliability practices.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps roles, including data systems support.
- Operational experience with AWS infrastructure, including IAM, VPC, EKS, and ALB/NLB.
- Hands-on knowledge of MWAA, Databricks, and production Spark and Flink workloads on Kubernetes.
- Experience supporting CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins and Spinnaker, including pipeline troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with EKS cloud security and networking concepts, including IAM, TLS, VPCs, DNS, and service-to-service access.
- Working knowledge of Terraform and scripting languages such as Python or Go.
- Experience with on-call rotations, incident resolution, high-severity incidents, and root cause analysis across globally distributed teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred qualifications include Azure or GCP exposure, Datadog or Prometheus experience, regulated-environment exposure, support tooling and AIOps knowledge, and AWS/Databricks cost optimization or usage monitoring experience.
