Responsibilities
- Execute operational work including updating and maintaining the Engineering Service Desk queue.
- Ensure team requests are triaged and actioned in a timely manner.
- Monitor platform health and address deployment and operational issues.
- Assist with capacity, performance, and scalability testing.
- Act as an escalation point for platform issues from customer support teams.
- Execute runbooks and update processes as required.
- Interface with the SRE team to report core issues and new feature requests.
Requirements
- General platform infrastructure knowledge, including high availability and load balancing concepts.
- Understanding of protocols and technologies like HTTP, SSL, SSH, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with open source technologies and tools like MongoDB and NodeJS.
- Knowledge of Terraform is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure is desired.
- Linux fundamentals and knowledge of tools like Datadog are beneficial.
- Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
- Multi-tasking and time management skills.
- 1+ years in a Cloud Operations role.
- 1+ years in a production environment supporting large-scale applications.
- Interest or understanding of programming languages like Golang and shell scripting.
