Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and continuously improve continuous delivery and release pipelines from artifact promotion through progressive production rollout.
- Own release orchestration, environment promotion, deployment gating, automated health checks, rollback, scheduling, change tracking, and coordinated multi-service releases.
- Lead Terraform and Infrastructure as Code architecture, including reusable modules, remote state, locking, workspaces, provider versioning, registries, naming conventions, and access controls.
- Define cloud-agnostic infrastructure architecture spanning AWS and future Azure/GCP environments.
- Implement policy-as-code and automated compliance, security, and cost controls using Terraform ecosystem tooling.
- Drive organization-wide Terraform adoption through migrations, documentation, golden-path templates, and training.
- Monitor deployment pipelines, Terraform activity, infrastructure alerts, and operational metrics; serve as a production escalation point and own incident response and remediation.
- Mentor engineers on release engineering, deployment safety, Terraform practices, and Infrastructure as Code quality.
Requirements
- 10+ years of cloud DevOps experience, primarily with AWS, emphasizing release engineering, deployment automation, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Production-grade multi-cloud experience with AWS plus hands-on Azure and/or GCP experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on production Terraform experience, including module authoring, remote state with S3/DynamoDB, workspaces, provider management, and CI/CD plan/apply workflows.
- Deep continuous delivery experience with progressive rollouts, automated rollback, and infrastructure provisioning.
- Enterprise-scale Terraform architecture experience, including state design, module registries, governance policies, and multi-team access control.
- Experience driving organization-wide Infrastructure as Code migrations, adoption, golden-path templates, and enablement.
- Experience with Terraform ecosystem tools such as Terragrunt, Terraform Cloud/Enterprise, Atlantis, Sentinel/OPA, and Checkov is a plus.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, Bitbucket, and deep CI/CD tooling expertise; CircleCI experience is strongly preferred.
- Expertise in cloud operations, deployment lifecycle scalability, reliability, maintainability, and operational improvement metrics.
- 7+ years working with *nix systems, including Linux, MacOS, BSD, and AIX.
- 5+ years of scripting experience with Shell, Go, Python, Perl, or Tcl/Tk for deployment tooling and Terraform providers.
- 5+ years of monitoring, alerting, and observability experience, including Terraform state drift detection.
- Kubernetes or ECS experience with Helm and Kustomize, including cluster or node provisioning through Terraform, is highly desirable.
- Ability to coach and mentor engineers.
