Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end Azure platform architecture and implementation across Development, Staging, and Production.
- Design and provision secure, repeatable, auditable cloud infrastructure with Terraform.
- Build and operate Azure services, networking, private endpoints, managed identities, storage, and database infrastructure.
- Design and maintain GitHub Actions pipelines for build, testing, security scanning, artifact creation, deployment, and environment promotion.
- Implement CI/CD quality and security gates, deployment governance, rollback, recovery, feature flags, and operational kill-switches.
- Implement secure-by-default controls including TLS, Azure Key Vault, access controls, PII-safe telemetry, and DLP scrubbing.
- Support MLOps patterns including model deployment, artifact handling, inference services, lineage metadata, monitoring, and ONNX deployment pipelines.
- Lead a small platform team of two engineers while remaining hands-on with platform engineering and troubleshooting.
- Maintain runbooks, release notes, operational procedures, and platform standards.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.
- Experience building and operating Development, Staging, and Production environments.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes containerized workloads, preferably AKS.
- Strong understanding of Azure networking, identity, secrets management, monitoring, and security controls.
- Experience with Azure Key Vault, managed identity, RBAC, secure secret handling, CI/CD security gates, and deployment governance.
- Experience with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Strong scripting skills using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or equivalent.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex platform, pipeline, environment, and deployment issues.
- Strong documentation discipline and proven ability to lead a small technical team while remaining deeply hands-on.
- Preferred experience includes MLOps, ONNX, ML inference services, Azure API Management, Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, WAF, Azure Landing Zones, Helm, Kubernetes operators, Argo CD, Flux, GitOps, DLP, audit logging, SOC 2, ISO 27001, multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure, feature flags, blue-green or canary deployments, and rollback automation.
- Experience in regulated fintech, compliance, AML, banking, payments, crypto, or enterprise SaaS environments is advantageous.
