Base Salary

$93k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and operate backend platform components, APIs, SDKs, and integration frameworks.
  • Own platform components and evolve contracts, versioning, interoperability, and compatibility-safe upgrade paths for multi-tenant use.
  • Debug and resolve issues across distributed services and develop remediation plans.
  • Improve availability, performance, capacity, resilience, monitoring, logging, automation, and operability.
  • Review designs and code, guide adoption, and create technical documentation, samples, and operational guidance.
  • Support customer-reported issues, investigate incidents, perform root-cause follow-up, and contribute to product improvements.
  • Implement software testing, quality assurance, API lifecycle strategies, performance optimization, secure coding, maintenance, and system reliability improvements.
  • Independently manage work, collaborate across teams, solve problems, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of professional software-development experience; advanced degree holders may have fewer years of experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one object-oriented or systems programming language such as Java, C++, C#, or Go.
  • Experience building backend services, APIs, microservices, SDKs, or developer-facing platform capabilities.
  • Understanding of distributed systems, data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and secure software development.
  • Experience with API design, integration, versioning, testing, source control, and production troubleshooting.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with highly available scalable cloud services, RESTful APIs, containers, cloud-native deployment, observability, service reliability engineering, database technologies, multi-tenant design, and technical documentation.
