Base Salary

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise AI adoption by partnering with business units and cross-functional technology, business, legal, compliance, security, and procurement teams.
  • Translate business problems into AI-enabled designs involving agentic workflows, LLM applications, retrieval-augmented generation, automation, decision support, and AI-assisted engineering.
  • Evaluate AI vendors, foundation models, cloud AI platforms, agentic tools, orchestration frameworks, and emerging capabilities through testing, benchmarks, and proof-of-concepts.
  • Create decision matrices, evaluation criteria, technical scorecards, and recommendations for selecting AI tools, models, platforms, and vendors.
  • Design reusable agentic frameworks, reference architectures, prompts, orchestration approaches, integration models, and enterprise AI patterns.
  • Develop prototypes, technical accelerators, and proof-of-concepts that validate business value and create paths to production.
  • Define standards for vendor integrations, APIs, model selection, data access, observability, guardrails, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership for AI solutions involving cloud platforms, enterprise systems, APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and DevOps environments.
  • Monitor emerging AI vendors, model capabilities, agentic frameworks, industry trends, and enterprise AI practices.
  • Influence senior technology and business leaders by communicating technical tradeoffs, risks, implementation options, and investment recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 15 years of software engineering experience, including leading, designing, implementing, and operating distributed systems and large-scale architectures.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining software with Python, Java, or comparable object-oriented programming languages.
  • Experience designing and implementing APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience applying cloud, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
  • Preferred experience evaluating and implementing AI solutions from multiple vendors, including foundation model providers, cloud AI platforms, AI coding tools, agentic platforms, orchestration frameworks, and enterprise AI products.
  • Preferred experience with agentic AI frameworks, reusable design patterns, prompt strategies, orchestration flows, tool-calling patterns, RAG patterns, workflow automation, and human-in-the-loop models.
  • Preferred experience creating decision matrices, benchmarks, technical scorecards, recommendation frameworks, and production-readiness plans.
  • Preferred experience rapidly prototyping emerging technologies and converting successful experiments into scalable engineering patterns.
  • Preferred experience mentoring engineering teams and creating enablement materials, reference implementations, frameworks, and AI adoption playbooks.
  • Ability to influence executives, engineering leaders, architects, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders through technical credibility and hands-on delivery.
