Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, scale, and deploy backend services using Java and Kotlin.
- Implement data migrations and support the Unified Database transition.
- Build highly testable partner risk assessment flows and collaborate with compliance teams.
- Contribute to event-driven and microservices architecture and maintain software quality throughout its lifecycle.
- Collaborate with distributed engineering and product teams across multiple countries.
- Define product features, participate in workshops, and communicate technical work to other teams.
- Own workstreams, track progress, and support changes through production.
- Improve team processes, designs, and engineering practices.
Requirements
- Strong coding fundamentals in Java and Kotlin.
- Advanced database modeling and migration experience.
- Experience with event-driven architecture.
- Experience delivering high-quality software using established engineering practices and maintaining quality throughout the software lifecycle.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate on complex problems.
- Experience working in an Agile environment, including Scrum or Kanban.
- Critical thinking, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in distributed cross-functional teams.
- Ability to perform complex technical activities, resolve complex issues, influence customers and team members, and manage personal work effectively.
- Confident Intermediate English or higher.
