Base Salary
$200k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Talk directly with customers to identify pain points, validate solutions, and translate feedback into shipped features.
- Build end-to-end production product features using Python and FastAPI.
- Partner with founders to define and build the company’s second major product line.
- Prototype quickly, iterate based on user feedback, and ship in an ambiguous early-stage environment.
- Own major product areas spanning backend APIs, the dashboard, and developer experience.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of AI engineering experience with a demonstrated ability to ship production code and communicate directly with users.
- Bachelor’s degree from a top-25 U.S. computer science program.
- Production Python development experience; FastAPI experience is preferred.
- Comfort working across backend, frontend, APIs, and infrastructure.
- Strong hands-on experience with LLM APIs or AI infrastructure, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Bedrock, Azure, or Vertex AI.
- Track record of high-intensity, high-ownership work through a high-growth startup, rapid advancement at a top technology company, or notable entrepreneurial projects.
- Demonstrated initiative through an active GitHub profile, startup founder experience, standout independent projects, or competitions.
- Strong communication skills for direct customer interaction.
