Base Salary

$145k - $185k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own closed-loop spacecraft simulation platforms from design through deployment.
  • Develop scheduling, data routing, diagnostics, configuration, and Monte Carlo simulation capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain simulation models, emulators, and interfaces with units under test.
  • Define test requirements and procedures with cross-functional engineering teams and execute simulation tests.
  • Analyze test data, identify trends, and improve models and test results.
  • Build automation tools, data-analysis workflows, and test-reporting capabilities.
  • Debug closed-loop interactions between units under test and simulation environments.
  • Contribute to the technical architecture and roadmap for simulation platforms.

Requirements

  • U.S. Person status is required to access export-controlled data.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field is required; a master's degree is a plus.
  • At least 3 years of experience developing closed-loop simulation tools such as 6DOF, SITL, PITL, or HITL.
  • Strong proficiency in C, C++, Rust, or Python.
  • Experience operating and developing in Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and agile software development practices.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and validating physics-based simulation models for closed-loop systems.
  • Experience integrating virtual sensors, actuators, and test equipment through serial, network, and conventional I/O interfaces.
  • Experience with data analysis, automation tools, and pipeline development.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, independent ownership, and execution skills.
  • Preferred experience includes aerospace or satellite systems, satellite subsystems, real-time or HPC systems, complex build systems, virtual test environments, embedded Linux, and real-time operating systems.
