Base Salary
$145k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own closed-loop spacecraft simulation platforms from design through deployment.
- Develop scheduling, data routing, diagnostics, configuration, and Monte Carlo simulation capabilities.
- Develop and maintain simulation models, emulators, and interfaces with units under test.
- Define test requirements and procedures with cross-functional engineering teams and execute simulation tests.
- Analyze test data, identify trends, and improve models and test results.
- Build automation tools, data-analysis workflows, and test-reporting capabilities.
- Debug closed-loop interactions between units under test and simulation environments.
- Contribute to the technical architecture and roadmap for simulation platforms.
Requirements
- U.S. Person status is required to access export-controlled data.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field is required; a master's degree is a plus.
- At least 3 years of experience developing closed-loop simulation tools such as 6DOF, SITL, PITL, or HITL.
- Strong proficiency in C, C++, Rust, or Python.
- Experience operating and developing in Linux environments.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and agile software development practices.
- Experience designing, implementing, and validating physics-based simulation models for closed-loop systems.
- Experience integrating virtual sensors, actuators, and test equipment through serial, network, and conventional I/O interfaces.
- Experience with data analysis, automation tools, and pipeline development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, independent ownership, and execution skills.
- Preferred experience includes aerospace or satellite systems, satellite subsystems, real-time or HPC systems, complex build systems, virtual test environments, embedded Linux, and real-time operating systems.
