Responsibilities
- Analyze, plan, develop, maintain, and evolve the iceberg iOS library using SwiftUI and distribute it through SPM and CocoaPods.
- Build highly reusable, versioned, and documented code supporting multiple brands.
- Ensure the design system aligns with iOS design patterns, Human Interface Guidelines, accessibility standards, and product design workflows.
- Collaborate with Android, React, and Angular developers to maintain consistency and guide the future evolution of the design system.
- Serve as the iOS point of contact for the iceberg team and a technical reference for other iOS developers.
- Support product and design teams by addressing iOS platform questions and issues.
- Improve component quality and reliability through automated testing with Maestro and Perfecto and through accessibility audits.
- Participate in design reviews to validate Android and iOS component implementation fidelity.
Requirements
- At least five years of software development experience, including three years creating native iOS applications at a senior level.
- Extensive experience with Swift and SwiftUI, plus experience with UIKit and iOS Human Interface Guidelines.
- Experience designing and maintaining reusable frameworks or libraries distributed through SPM and/or CocoaPods.
- At least one published mobile application, ideally used in a high-volume environment.
- Strong iOS development skills and understanding of iOS design patterns, architecture, and accessibility.
- Experience with Git and Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence.
- Understanding of Figma and ability to collaborate closely with UX designers.
- Experience with Maestro, Perfecto, or cross-platform design systems such as Android/Compose, React, and Angular is an asset.
- Ability to work collaboratively, communicate ideas to diverse stakeholders, mentor developers, and act autonomously.
- Bilingualism is required for regular interaction with colleagues across Canada.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada from the anticipated start date and throughout employment; Canadian work experience is not required.
