Responsibilities
- Design and modify reusable components for CBC/Radio-Canada digital platforms, including audio/video player components.
- Develop complex, high-performance Android applications capable of handling high loads across mobile, tablet, and TV form factors.
- Ensure product quality, standards compliance, and performance throughout project execution.
- Propose solutions to technical challenges and stay current with digital development trends.
- Participate in user-story development, sprint planning, retrospectives, Agile Scrum activities, code reviews, corrections, and application deployments.
- Read, produce, and follow software architecture diagrams and contribute to technical solution delivery.
Requirements
- A university degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of software development experience.
- Experience developing complex and high-performance mobile applications.
- Proficiency with Android Studio, Git, and Kotlin.
- Experience developing an application published on Google Play.
- Experience working with code reviews and pull requests.
- Knowledge of programming patterns such as MVP or MVVM and software architecture principles such as SOLID.
- Ability to work in a multilingual environment with mandatory spoken and written French and English.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, teamwork, initiative, adaptability, and priority-setting skills.
- Knowledge of Jetpack Compose, ExoPlayer, Kotlin Multiplatform, Dagger, Hilt, Koin, Google architecture components, Maven, audio-video streaming, or additional programming languages is an asset.
