Base Salary
$196k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and improve premium Discord experiences including Nitro, shop, boosting, and user identity.
- Own projects end to end by refining requirements, creating technical specifications, collaborating with Design, and delivering user experiences.
- Work with full-stack engineers to ship features across web, Android, and iOS.
- Lead complex initiatives from conception through completion.
- Rapidly prototype features and synthesize insights through experimentation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience and a record of leading sizable, high-impact projects.
- Expertise in React and React Native with solid Python backend development skills.
- Proficiency across web, mobile, and backend development, including TypeScript and familiarity with Kotlin, Objective-C, and Swift.
- Understanding of React performance and client-server performance optimization.
- Strong product sense, user empathy, ownership, autonomy, and comfort working in ambiguous environments.
- Bonus experience in revenue generation, product monetization, user engagement systems, experimentation, data-driven decision making, consumer growth, retention, or performance optimization at scale.

- US base salary range of $196,000 to $220,000 plus equity and benefits.
