Responsibilities
- Break down functional and non-functional requirements into components, services, front ends, and ingest pipelines.
- Work with data architects to define efficient strategies for ingesting, transforming, managing, and consuming data.
- Coach engineers and help delivery teams implement proposed solution designs.
- Develop architecture decision records, strategic patterns, opinionated decision trees, and reusable code for recurring problems.
- Own and drive overall solution designs and support delivery teams in defending them before design authorities.
- Research and assess new technologies, derive organizational usage patterns, and improve the architecture and technology estate.
- Apply AI tools responsibly to improve productivity, optimize workflows, and solve business problems.
- Design, build, or integrate ABAC and RBAC access-control systems and IAM capabilities.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least 5 years of Java or .NET engineering and architecture experience.
- Very good understanding of the Java ecosystem, particularly J2EE, Spring Boot, and services built with current JDKs.
- Good understanding of .NET; TypeScript and Python experience is a plus.
- Experience deploying workloads to the cloud, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
- Ability to abstract complex problems into smaller, digestible, implementable pieces.
- Strategic thinking and planning skills, including developing patterns and design decisions for recurring problems.
- Willingness to evaluate new technologies and identify opportunities to improve enterprise architecture.
- TOGAF or SAFe experience is a plus.
- Experience designing, building, or integrating ABAC or RBAC controls or IAM systems.
- Prior financial-industry or asset-management experience is a significant plus.
- Ability to use AI tools productively while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
