Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain IG’s FIX APIs.
- Deliver new functionality for the IG Prime product roadmap.
- Provide technical support to institutional clients and FIX Support teams when required.
- Monitor and manage FIX API services with a focus on performance, reliability, and resilience.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to improve processes and service delivery.
- Build test harnesses and increase automation across the FIX platform.
- Identify development risks and build mitigations.
Requirements
- Around five years of Java development experience.
- Experience developing external APIs.
- Strong concurrent and multithreaded programming skills.
- Experience with asynchronous systems, including streaming and messaging.
- Experience using the Spring Framework.
- Linux proficiency, including shell scripting.
- Experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS.
- Experience coding using AI and a continuous improvement mentality.
