Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend features for Wise’s Business Pricing team.
- Help businesses choose and manage account plans through clear, scalable, and intuitive pricing experiences.
- Develop features from planning through release and monitor their adoption after launch.
- Own customer problems and projects end to end, making data-driven decisions to address customer pain points.
- Collaborate daily with product managers, data scientists, data analysts, engineers, designers, and other product teams.
- Contribute to quarterly planning, product strategy, team culture, and engineering processes.
- Write testable code and apply unit and integration testing strategies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Java, Kotlin, or another JVM-based language.
- Strong experience with the Spring framework, relational databases, distributed and concurrent systems, and Kafka.
- Experience with testing strategies including unit testing and integration testing.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional product and engineering teams.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Commitment to coding best practices, code reviews, open feedback, and continuous process improvement.
- A strong product mindset, customer focus, independent working style, and end-to-end ownership of projects.
