Responsibilities
- Write clean, maintainable software using .NET, C#, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and other modern tools.
- Deliver high-quality working software as part of a software development team.
- Develop expert knowledge of the team’s codebase and conduct comprehensive code reviews.
- Create documentation and technical guides for critical systems.
- Monitor dashboards and alerts and respond to incidents appropriately.
- Drive technical decisions by assessing trade-offs, risks, and organization-wide alignment.
- Diagnose complex bugs, implement fixes, and add automated regression tests.
- Lead specification and refinement of technical improvements.
- Mentor, coach, and empower engineers through knowledge sharing, demos, and presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field.
- At least six years of experience working with .NET C#.
- Experience applying microservice architectures and evaluating architectural patterns and trade-offs.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and event streaming or messaging tools such as Kafka, Pulsar, or RabbitMQ.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including technologies such as Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Dynamo, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Ability to identify best-practice improvements, solve complex technical problems independently, and learn complex architectures and codebases quickly.
- Experience working in an Agile environment and providing technical leadership, including mentoring engineers.
- Understanding of Feature Flags for faster releases.
- Strong communication, collaboration, adaptability, initiative, and continuous-improvement skills.
