Responsibilities
- Design and build reliable data products and pipelines integrating production, machine, commercial, enterprise, document, communication, and external market data.
- Develop and productionize ML solutions including forecasting, anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, segmentation, propensity, recommendation, and optimization models.
- Build LLM applications using retrieval, document processing, search, tool-calling, and agent orchestration, delegation, and supervision.
- Design and run systematic evaluation for AI applications and agents, including task success, output quality, regression testing, and production behavior monitoring.
- Build an open integration architecture connecting enterprise systems, communications, and external data sources.
- Integrate AI applications with SAP, CRM, MES, planning, and maintenance systems using controlled access and human approval gates for operational write-backs.
- Take architectural ownership of key solutions and operate production systems after deployment.
Requirements
- Several years of experience building and operating production data and machine-learning systems.
- Expert Python, strong SQL, and solid software engineering practices including version control, automated testing, CI/CD, and cloud deployment.
- Experience with modern data platforms and distributed data processing; Databricks experience is advantageous.
- Depth in commercial and customer data science or industrial and time-series data, such as forecasting, anomaly detection, predictive modeling, recommender systems, entity resolution, NLP, or operational data quality.
- Experience building and operating LLM-based applications with real users, including retrieval, extraction, search, tool-calling, or agentic systems.
- Experience systematically evaluating AI behavior and output quality.
- Strong solution-design judgment balancing technical complexity, security, performance, and model and token efficiency.
- Ability to understand commercial and operational problems and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluent English.
- Experience with optimization or operations research, accounting concepts, or practical user-interface and analytical application development is desirable.
