Base Salary
$100k - $125k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the enterprise Quality Engineering framework across UI, API, data, and service layers.
- Define automation strategies, coverage models, test pyramids, baselines, and measurable quality metrics.
- Design and build scalable automation solutions supporting selective execution, rapid validation, CI/CD integration, and fast feedback.
- Establish standards for automation code quality, reusability, naming, reviews, and framework ownership.
- Serve as the technical authority and escalation point for automation architecture and design decisions.
- Partner with development teams on shift-left testing and developer-owned quality initiatives.
- Identify and reduce automation flakiness through root cause analysis and framework improvements.
- Lead automation transformation initiatives across multiple teams and applications.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or Test Automation.
- 3+ years of experience designing, building, and owning automation frameworks from the ground up.
- Strong hands-on expertise with one or more of Playwright, Selenium, MABL, Java, or Python.
- Deep experience with API and service-layer automation, including integration and contract testing.
- Strong CI/CD experience including pipeline integration, execution gating, parallelization, artifact management, and reporting.
- Experience managing test data strategies for enterprise-scale regression testing.
- Demonstrated ability to scale automation across multiple teams while improving efficiency and maintaining quality.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred experience in Financial Services, Insurance, or other regulated industries.
- Preferred experience with service virtualization, dependency mocking, cloud-based testing environments, modern test infrastructure, accessibility testing, and quality maturity assessments.
