Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage multi-CDN configurations for optimal content delivery and redundancy.
- Build and maintain internal platform services, APIs, and developer tooling primarily with Python.
- Develop automation and scripting with Python, Bash, and TypeScript.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for development, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Monitor CDN performance, analyze metrics, and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability and low latency.
- Develop and automate cloud infrastructure using AWS, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Build and improve automated testing, deployment, and delivery pipelines.
- Collaborate with developers and SREs and participate in the team’s support and on-call rotation.
- Implement security measures and support compliance for CDN and edge services.
- Maintain CDN configuration documentation and provide performance reports.
Requirements
- Strong practical experience developing maintainable, production-quality Python software.
- Experience with software testing, code reviews, debugging, version control, and maintainable software design.
- Experience using TypeScript, Bash, or similar scripting languages for engineering automation.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, coding agents, or similar tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
- Experience with Git, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines, ideally using GitHub Actions.
- Understanding of HTTP, DNS, caching, load balancing, and CDN technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across software, infrastructure, and distributed systems.
- Ability to collaborate with developers, SREs, security specialists, and platform teams.
- Experience building internal developer platforms, self-service workflows, or CLI tools is desirable.
- Experience with CDN providers such as Akamai, Cloudflare, or Fastly is desirable.
