Responsibilities
- Configure and develop Data 360 implementations in customer sandboxes and production environments using SQL, Apex, Flow, Python, APIs, Salesforce DX, CLI, Git, Data Kits, and deployment tooling.
- Build ingestion, harmonization, identity-resolution, data modeling, and activation workflows across batch and streaming sources.
- Create retrieval and AI data integration layers using RAG, vector databases, search indexes, and knowledge bases to ground Agentforce solutions.
- Design and implement MCP and agent-to-agent communication protocols and connect Agentforce with enterprise applications and AI agents.
- Test data access, permissions, edge cases, failure conditions, and customer-scale volumes while troubleshooting ingestion, schema, identity, query, API, and activation issues.
- Apply secure authentication, authorization, data governance, message-queue, event-driven, and distributed-systems patterns.
- Document implementation tradeoffs, package reusable scripts and runbooks, support deployment and production handoff, and communicate platform gaps to Product and Support.
- Co-build solutions with customer technical teams, partners, architects, deployment strategists, and account teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or technical implementation, including production data-solution experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience implementing Salesforce Data 360, Data Cloud, or a comparable enterprise data platform across ingestion, modeling, identity, insights, activation, and operations.
- Experience building data pipelines and integrations with technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Kafka, cloud object storage, or enterprise MDM platforms.
- Proficiency in SQL and fluency in at least one of Apex, Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Understanding of data modeling, APIs, integration patterns, batch and streaming processing, and copied, federated, and Zero Copy data access.
- Experience building retrieval systems for AI applications, including vector databases, search indexes, embedding pipelines, or knowledge bases.
- Experience implementing secure service-to-service integrations using OAuth, SAML, and event-driven architectures, with familiarity with MCP and agent-to-agent communication.
- Ability to implement and test secure data access involving permissions, entitlements, consent, user context, restricted populations, and negative test cases.
- Ability to diagnose technical issues using logs and query evidence, implement against documented architectures, explain solutions to customer technical teams, and identify when architect or security-owner guidance is needed.
- Experience delivering alongside customers, partners, professional services, or internal implementation teams in deadline-driven environments.
- Relevant Salesforce Agentforce, Data 360, and Salesforce Platform certifications.
