Responsibilities

  • Partner with traders, desk strategists, quantitative strategists, and technology teams to design and deliver Structured Rates technology solutions.
  • Design and build software across the full development lifecycle for pricing, risk, PnL, market-data, workflow, and trade-lifecycle platforms.
  • Develop solutions for vanilla and exotic interest-rate derivatives, cash securities, and hybrid products.
  • Implement valuation models, risk methodologies, scenario analysis, and business workflows with quantitative strategists.
  • Develop large-scale distributed systems and solve scaling and performance challenges for real-time risk and PnL calculations.
  • Deliver initiatives involving product onboarding, market-data capabilities, predictive analytics, pricing applications, and risk-calculation scalability.
  • Balance strategic platform development with business-critical enhancements and production support.
  • Contribute to macro-business platforms supporting Rates, FX, and Emerging Markets.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across North America, Europe, and Asia and provide technical leadership within a global organization.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong software engineering experience designing and delivering complex, business-critical systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Scala, Java, or similar enterprise development languages, with knowledge of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and distributed-system design.
  • Experience with scalable distributed systems, distributed caches, grid computing, messaging frameworks, and high-performance data platforms.
  • Strong understanding of derivatives products, trading workflows, risk methodologies, and PnL concepts.
  • Experience with pricing, risk calculations, PnL, scenario analytics, market-data processing, or quantitative business logic is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to investigate issues involving business logic, market data, distributed systems, and application performance.
  • Experience with automated testing, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and AI-assisted software development techniques.
  • Experience with Python, C++, or C# is welcomed.
  • Ability to own business and technical domains and become a subject-matter expert and technology lead.
  • The role may require mandatory regulatory qualifications or minimum internal qualifications if designated as a Certified role.
