Firmware Engineer, Manufacturing Test

Responsibilities
- Build firmware and software platforms for manufacturing test and host/client verification of product form, fit, and function.
- Develop low-level firmware for microcontrollers interfacing with robots and control algorithms for off-the-shelf data acquisition tools.
- Create device-side validation capabilities using SSH, gRPC, and existing or new debugging tools.
- Debug issues spanning electrical, firmware, and software boundaries and automate test and failure-analysis procedures for production staff.
- Participate in DFT and DFM reviews with electrical engineering and product firmware teams.
Requirements
- BS or MS in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong C programming ability for embedded systems.
- Experience integrating microcontrollers with analog and digital sensors.
- Experience developing firmware in bare-metal, RTOS, and embedded Linux environments.
- Understanding of coding best practices, board bring-up, and debugging.
- Familiarity with USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, RS485, Ethernet, and similar bus protocols.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include new-design bring-up and debugging, low- and high-speed interface experience, data acquisition and analysis fundamentals, microcontroller experience, embedded Linux deployment, and debugging with JTAG, SWD, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
