Responsibilities

Evaluate and validate new sensors and platform hardware through structured test programs.
Fix minor bugs in the autonomy software stack during field operations.
Execute supervised autonomy testing runs and release-level testing for software and hardware production readiness.
Collect data and run tests for edge-case maneuvers, sensor profiling, obstacle avoidance, and controller tuning.
Train and develop Test Operators.
Maintain fleet software through updates, patches, and configuration management.
Monitor fleet health and triage field issues to minimize downtime.
Document test results, field observations, and issue reports for engineering feedback.
Work closely with the engineering team and field operations personnel at deployment airports and test facilities.

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, robotics, or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in systems integration, field testing, or hardware/software validation for robotic platforms.
Hands-on experience with LiDAR, cameras, radar, GPS/GNSS, and embedded hardware.
Proficiency with Linux and command-line tooling.
Ability to read software logs, identify anomalies, and debug issues.
Strong documentation and organizational skills.
Preferred experience with ROS2 or similar robotics middleware and autonomous vehicle platform architecture.
Preferred familiarity with networking fundamentals and Python or C++ for scripting or log analysis.
Preferred experience mentoring or training junior technical staff.

Field-based role requiring regular travel to deployment airports and test facilities.
Role is based onsite in Atlanta.
Weekend work is involved.
Requires working outdoors for extended periods, handling test equipment, and operating or being near autonomous machinery.
