Base Salary
$220k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design, development, integration, and validation of real-time RF sensor software in C/C++.
- Integrate signal-processing algorithms into open-architecture software frameworks.
- Define and execute integration tests and system-level validation tests.
- Debug real-time, multithreaded, and distributed software systems.
- Transition MATLAB and Python prototypes into optimized production C/C++ implementations.
- Document software designs, test procedures, results, technical reports, integration plans, briefings, and customer presentations.
- Support system demonstrations, field testing, and approximately 10% travel for integration and customer events.
- Establish best practices for software quality, configuration management, test automation, documentation, and technical risk management.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Interface with government sponsors, customers, program managers, and technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to proposals through technical approaches, work-breakdown planning, technical writing, cost estimation, white papers, and presentations.
- Contribute to user interfaces, dashboards, and visualization tools for observability, test execution, data analysis, and integration workflows.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship is required by the government.
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Ten or more years of professional software development experience, including leadership of complex software development, integration, and test efforts.
- Expert-level programming proficiency for high-performance, real-time applications.
- Experience with Git and Linux.
- Experience developing or integrating real-time software for signal-processing, embedded, distributed, or hardware-connected systems.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring experience.
- Experience contributing substantially to proposal efforts, technical writing, technical approaches, cost estimation, and customer presentations.
- Top Secret clearance, preferably TS/SCI.
- Proficiency in Python or MATLAB and experience with hands-on hardware testing or laboratory equipment.
- Experience in signal processing, RF sensor-system architectures, real-time or embedded software, multithreaded programming, synchronization, open-architecture principles, user interfaces, dashboards, or visualization tools.
