Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and operate high-throughput and resilient Java backend services.
- Develop and maintain Spring Boot microservices, APIs, and event-driven integrations using Solace PubSub+.
- Build development environments and infrastructure and support Kubernetes and container-based deployments.
- Automate and improve development and release processes using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, and CI/CD processes.
- Work with PostgreSQL on schema contributions, query optimization, and Flyway or Liquibase migrations.
- Implement testing, code reviews, performance analysis, security controls, and vulnerability management.
- Develop software fixes, improve reliability and quality, and participate in incident response and continuous improvement.
- Use observability and incident management tools to monitor services and support production operations.
Requirements
- BE, BTech, or MCA qualification.
- 7+ years of Java development experience and 4+ years running Spring Boot microservices in production.
- Strong expertise in Core and Advanced Java, including Java 11, 17, or 21, concurrency, memory management, design patterns, and performance profiling.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, and Spring Cloud components.
- Knowledge of REST API principles, versioning, OpenAPI or Swagger, OAuth2, and JWT.
- Experience with Solace topics and queues, durable subscriptions, replay, dead-letter or error queues, and acknowledgment modes.
- Experience with Git workflows, Jenkins pipeline-as-code, Ansible playbooks, Docker, Kubernetes deployments, and probes.
- Knowledge of BDD with Cucumber and Gherkin, integration testing, OWASP practices, dependency vulnerability management, and secrets management.
- Experience with Grafana, Prometheus and PromQL, Loki and LogQL, Zipkin, Sleuth, or OpenTelemetry.
- Knowledge of Python or another scripting language, Kubernetes networking, high-availability microservices, and production troubleshooting.
- Datadog and Jira Service Management experience is a plus.
