Responsibilities
- Drive the technical design and end-to-end implementation of complex granular and bulk recovery features.
- Design and build reliable real-time recovery components that capture deletion events and support scalable data restoration.
- Restore relationships and maintain state consistency for group memberships, app assignments, device enrollments, and related identity objects.
- Implement secure logging and tracking of recovery operations in Syslog for audit and compliance.
- Partner with product managers and technical leads to clarify requirements, define scope, and break projects into milestones.
- Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and improve observability, logging, and metrics.
- Promote code quality through reviews, automated testing, and technical documentation.
- Guide and mentor intermediate and junior engineers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience building and scaling reliable production applications.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills and extensive experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with distributed system patterns, asynchronous job processing, and event-driven architectures.
- Proficiency with relational databases such as MySQL and caching strategies such as Redis.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining enterprise RESTful APIs.
- Ability to independently break down ambiguous requirements into scalable software designs.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with IAM standards including SCIM, SAML, OAuth, and OIDC, or directory services such as AD and LDAP, is preferred.
- Experience with resilient system design, feature flagging, gradual or canary deployments, queueing systems, or message brokers such as Kafka is preferred.
