Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver secure, scalable software solutions across multiple technical areas.
  • Build and maintain production code and algorithms for distributed applications.
  • Create architecture and design artifacts and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
  • Use authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and automation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Analyze large and diverse datasets to identify patterns and drive improvements in coding hygiene, system architecture, and application quality.
  • Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders in support of financial services objectives.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience with complex distributed system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced proficiency in Java and practical experience designing, building, and deploying applications on Amazon Web Services.
  • Advanced knowledge of Spring Boot and Kafka.
  • Experience using authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating, validating, and refining their outputs.
  • Understanding of responsible AI practices, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
  • Understanding of Agile-related engineering practices including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
  • Experience interacting with technology and business stakeholders and in-depth knowledge of financial services industry IT systems.
  • Preferred: basic or intermediate Python knowledge and experience with either Snowflake or Databricks.
