Responsibilities
- Analyze customer workflows to identify gaps, edge cases, dependencies, and integration requirements.
- Lead tailored technical demos, address technical objections, and run POCs against real customer data.
- Translate ambiguous business requirements into solution architectures, implementation plans, SOWs, and capabilities documents.
- Research APIs and unfamiliar applications and propose integrations, workarounds, JSON payloads, or endpoint designs.
- Configure, integrate, deploy, and manage the cutover of customer solutions through first measurable value.
- Own implementation project plans, timelines, stakeholder management, and customer communication.
- Decide when to involve Forward Deployed Engineering and manage its impact on customer timelines and relationships.
- Lead technical scoping sessions, SOW reviews, integration design conversations, and executive communications.
- Warm-transfer customers to Customer Success after initial KPI achievement and selectively re-engage for qualified technical changes.
- Feed recurring integration patterns, edge cases, and product gaps back to Product and Engineering.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in a technical pre- or post-sales role such as Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Implementation Manager, Technical Account Manager, or Forward Deployed Strategist.
- Experience owning multi-stakeholder implementation projects and managing technical team resources.
- Hands-on ability to research API documentation, use Postman and cURL, interpret JSON payloads, suggest API endpoints, write pseudocode, and build working POCs.
- Ability to lead technical demos, defend architecture to customer IT teams, and explain SOWs and technical constraints to executives and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, investigative, communication, project management, prioritization, and ownership skills.
- Commercial awareness and ability to influence deals through technical scoping without negotiating commercial terms.
- Preferred experience working in a Forward Deployed Engineering model or in logistics, supply chain, freight, 3PL, or adjacent operations technology.
- Preferred hands-on experience with integration platforms, iPaaS tools, workflow automation, or custom middleware.
- Preferred experience deploying AI or agentic products and moving between pre-sales and delivery responsibilities.
