Responsibilities
- Design and maintain the Privilege Manager macOS Agent and use deep knowledge of its underlying technology to troubleshoot issues and make technical decisions.
- Develop remote management solutions connecting macOS workstations to on-premises and cloud-hosted Privilege Manager Servers, including agent-to-server contracts, policy synchronization, and cross-platform diagnostics.
- Deliver feature enhancements and customer fixes as part of the Privilege Manager product team.
- Contribute to architecture and design decisions and drive technical and product initiatives.
- Maintain code quality through code reviews, security practices, and continuous process improvements.
- Analyze and resolve customer-reported issues while working with support teams and customers.
- Collaborate with Product, UX, and Development teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Optimize the agent for scalability, efficiency, reliability, availability, and user experience.
- Improve development processes involving code quality, end-to-end testing, security scanning, monitoring, and incident response.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience focused on macOS internals.
- Strong proficiency in Swift for macOS development, including practical experience with Swift Concurrency.
- Working knowledge of Objective-C, including reading, understanding, and migrating legacy code.
- Deep expertise with macOS System Extensions, Endpoint Security, Service Management, daemons and agents, XPC, Grand Central Dispatch, SwiftUI, AppKit, and Accessibility.
- Strong understanding of Apple’s security and privacy model.
- Proficiency with Xcode and Apple’s development toolchain.
- Knowledge of software design patterns and architecture principles, including Dependency Injection and MVVM.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for multi-environment and multi-configuration builds.
- Excellent collaboration skills with Product and UX/UI teams.
- Understanding of Privileged Access Management solutions and cybersecurity principles is preferred.
- Experience developing security-focused software is preferred.
- Direct customer interaction and support experience is preferred.
- Experience with agent products deployed across many customer machines is preferred.
- Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance development is preferred.
- Familiarity with macOS app distribution, including signing and notarization, is preferred.
