Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain healthcare claims applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and MQ.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, efficient, and compliant mainframe solutions supporting claims adjudication workflows.
- Troubleshoot production issues, optimize application performance, conduct code reviews, and implement sustainable fixes.
- Support system integration testing, user acceptance testing, code migration, production deployment, post-implementation validation, and backout activities.
- Provide technical leadership to offshore team members and coordinate onsite and offshore delivery.
- Collaborate with business analysts, quality assurance professionals, project managers, support teams, and engineering teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience developing mainframe applications with COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and MQ.
- Experience with healthcare claims adjudication processes and related business workflows.
- Knowledge of code migration and release management, including package creation, environment promotion, deployment validation, and backout procedures.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills for complex application and production issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work independently in an onsite and offshore delivery environment.
- Experience mentoring distributed engineering teams, conducting code reviews, improving mainframe application performance, and supporting testing and production activities is helpful.
