Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs powering the AI Configs product.
- Develop and maintain the customer-facing web application and distributed systems supporting AI evaluations at scale.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to improve GenAI workflows.
- Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Participate in architecture and design discussions and evaluate technical tradeoffs.
- Stay current with developments in AI and software engineering practices.
- Own production code, participate in on-call rotations, and improve system reliability and maintainability over time.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of shipping production-quality full-stack features.
- Hands-on experience building GenAI features or agents, or working with large language models through direct integrations or AI APIs such as OpenAI, Google Cloud AI, or AWS Bedrock.
- Understanding of prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, or deploying AI services in production environments.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Experience writing production-ready, high-quality, maintainable code.
- Experience with distributed systems or data ingestion.
- Strong computer science fundamentals.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Product, Design, and engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ownership, accountability, communication, and ability to navigate ambiguous challenges.
