Responsibilities
- Lead technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform, fault-tolerant application systems.
- Participate throughout the software development life cycle as part of a dynamic engineering team.
- Improve developer experience by identifying gaps in internal frameworks and tools and contributing to enhancements.
- Establish engineering best practices and standards, including code review standards.
- Define technical standards and provide technical support to ensure engineering practices are consistently followed.
- Own architecture decisions, apply understanding of evolving technology to the domain, and contribute to high-level design.
- Mentor junior and intermediate associates and guide technical and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of hands-on development experience, preferably using Java, Python, Go, or other object-oriented programming languages.
- At least 6 years of experience with application and/or data design, architecture, and development.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud products such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
- Experience mentoring junior and intermediate associates and providing guidance to technical and business stakeholders.
- Preferred: 8 or more years leading the full software development life cycle.
- Bachelor's, master's, or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and experience working in an agile environment are preferred.
