Base Salary
$120k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical integrity of the FISS architecture across changes, enhancements, and modernization efforts.
- Guide integration between the mainframe and AWS-hosted components and modern API-based services.
- Define architectural standards and review technical decisions affecting the core system.
- Ensure COBOL, CICS, and VSAM changes are implemented safely without risking claims processing.
- Collaborate with Java and API modernization engineers on integration patterns.
- Serve as the technical escalation point for complex program issues.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on experience with COBOL and IBM mainframe environments, including CICS and VSAM.
- Experience integrating mainframe systems with cloud-hosted or API-based components.
- Familiarity with AWS and modern API development patterns.
- Medicare or Medicaid claims-processing systems experience is a strong plus.
- Clear communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; certain roles may require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation and/or security clearance.
