Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, development, testing, deployment, and support of Salesforce Field Service and the Salesforce Field Service Mobile App.
- Own technical solution design for Work Orders, Service Appointments, Service Resources, Service Territories, Work Types, scheduling policies, dispatcher workflows, and offline/mobile-first experiences.
- Develop Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, Platform Events, Custom Metadata, SOQL, and Visualforce.
- Design enterprise integrations using REST and SOAP APIs, MuleSoft, middleware, event-driven architecture, and data synchronization patterns.
- Optimize scheduling, routing, appointment booking, capacity management, technician skill matching, dispatch gating, and technician notifications.
- Provide technical leadership through solution design, work decomposition, code reviews, mentoring, engineering standards, and production-readiness practices.
- Lead AI-enabled field service and Agentforce use cases, including guided troubleshooting, knowledge retrieval, technician assistance, next-best actions, and automation.
- Apply responsible AI practices covering grounding, prompt design, guardrails, auditability, privacy, security, access control, and governance.
- Build observability, exception handling, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, operational dashboards, and production support processes.
- Perform root-cause analysis, defect resolution, documentation, release planning, runbook creation, user enablement, and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience covering hands-on design, development, testing, deployment, and support of enterprise applications.
- 5+ years of Salesforce development experience with strong hands-on expertise in Service Cloud and Salesforce Field Service.
- 2+ years of Salesforce Field Service and Field Service Mobile App development experience, including technician-facing workflows and offline/mobile-first design.
- Strong experience configuring and extending Salesforce Field Service capabilities, including Work Orders, Service Appointments, Service Resources, Service Territories, Work Types, Skills, Scheduling Policies, Dispatcher Console, and Field Service Mobile.
- Advanced experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, Flows, Platform Events, Custom Metadata, triggers, controllers, and Salesforce integration patterns.
- Experience designing scalable integrations with REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, MuleSoft or equivalent platforms, event-driven architecture, and secure data exchange.
- Experience with CI/CD, automated deployments, source control, code reviews, unit testing, release management, and Salesforce environment management.
- Experience building distributed, integration-heavy, and data-centric applications with attention to performance, scalability, security, maintainability, and Salesforce platform limits.
- Working knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as AppDynamics, BigPanda, or Splunk.
- Experience with AI-assisted engineering or delivery practices.
- Preferred Salesforce certifications include Platform Developer I/II, Salesforce Field Service Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, Application Architect, System Architect, or Agentforce Specialist.
- Preferred experience includes Salesforce Data Cloud/Data 360, Einstein Trust Layer, knowledge retrieval, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, Agentforce, field operations, data migration, reporting pipelines, Kafka, GCP, Databricks, and operational analytics.
