Responsibilities
- Define and drive enterprise architecture for large-scale, distributed shipping platforms across global markets.
- Design and deliver high-performance, resilient backend systems with strong availability, latency, and scalability objectives.
- Lead architectural initiatives that improve transaction efficiency, throughput, and customer experience.
- Build and evolve microservices-based platforms integrating with global carriers and logistics partners.
- Collaborate with product, payments, and fulfillment teams to deliver scalable solutions.
- Mentor senior engineers and architects and champion engineering excellence and best practices.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to improve performance, interoperability, and system reliability.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience building and architecting large-scale enterprise platforms.
- Proven experience operating at Principal level or equivalent and influencing beyond the immediate team.
- Deep expertise in enterprise architecture, distributed systems, and microservices at scale.
- Strong experience in supply chain or logistics, preferably shipping, fulfillment, or carrier ecosystems.
- Proficiency in Java, C++, or Python with strong backend engineering depth.
- Experience designing systems for high throughput, low latency, and global scale.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices.
- Exceptional ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex technical strategies.
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to connect architecture to business impact, work across organizational boundaries, mentor teams, and drive alignment at scale.
