Base Salary
$149k - $246k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and operate multi-step, tool-using AI agents.
- Integrate agents with APIs, databases, Salesforce, Slack, and enterprise systems.
- Evaluate agent frameworks and orchestration patterns, and optimize deployments for latency, cost, and reliability.
- Deliver complex features across design, implementation, testing, review, and operation.
- Build evaluation harnesses and guardrails to address hallucinations, drift, and unsafe tool calls.
- Monitor production systems, lead incident handling, and contribute to post-incident reviews and root-cause analyses.
- Coach engineers through pair programming and code reviews and present technical work to leadership and technical audiences.
- Partner with product managers, Scrum Masters, and technical writers on delivery, dependencies, and documentation.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience, including hands-on experience building and deploying LLM or agentic systems in production.
- Strong Python skills and mastery of agent orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, or custom frameworks.
- Deep understanding of prompt engineering, tool-calling and function-calling patterns, retrieval-augmented generation, and evaluation strategies for non-deterministic systems.
- Expertise in API integrations, asynchronous systems, distributed architectures, and modern software design patterns.
- Strong written and verbal communication, cross-functional alignment, technical coaching, and constructive code review experience.
- Preferred: experience with enterprise SaaS architectures, the Salesforce ecosystem, multi-agent coordination, or protocols such as MCP.
