Responsibilities
- Partner with internal development teams to distill customer-facing metrics.
- Help teams craft monitoring and alerting based on customer-driven metrics.
- Write Terraform modules to onboard internal teams to the monitoring and alerting platform.
- Promote site reliability principles and practices across the engineering organization.
- Support 24/7 production on-call rotations, respond to alerts, and resolve incidents outside standard business hours.
- Automate observability and monitoring while standardizing incident response to maintain SLAs and SLOs.
- Participate in planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Requirements
- Experience supporting 24/7 production on-call rotations and resolving incidents outside standard business hours.
- Experience automating observability and monitoring with Grafana, Kibana, and Prometheus.
- Proficiency in Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tooling.
- Practical experience with a cloud provider and its component services, including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Some experience with Python or Bash scripting.
- Ability to collaborate with developers, IT security and compliance, product managers, and scrum masters.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred: customer-facing support or quality assurance experience.
- Preferred: Docker and container orchestration experience.
- Preferred: experience in healthcare, pharmacy, financial services, or other regulated domains with audit and correctness obligations for data pipelines.
