Responsibilities

  • Design and implement complex, scalable, secure, and highly available software solutions and enterprise platform capabilities.
  • Build automated, policy-driven systems, integrations, services, APIs, and self-service capabilities that reduce manual effort and improve software delivery outcomes.
  • Establish and promote software engineering standards, governance mechanisms, platform guardrails, and system-enforced quality, security, compliance, and reliability controls.
  • Operate hybrid enterprise platforms spanning cloud, container, serverless, and traditional infrastructure environments.
  • Implement observability, telemetry, monitoring, logging, tracing, runtime validation, and machine-readable evidence generation.
  • Apply Generative AI and Agentic AI patterns to software delivery, quality engineering, platform operations, and intelligent automation.
  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, design guidance, knowledge sharing, and technical coordination across multiple engineering teams.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, build prototypes, shape technical roadmaps, and resolve complex performance, reliability, scalability, and architecture issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of professional software development experience.
  • Deep knowledge of multiple programming languages, software architecture, design principles, software development lifecycle practices, testing, deployment, and security.
  • Strong software engineering and DevSecOps expertise across GitLab, infrastructure as code, automation, scripting, platform engineering, and delivery workflows.
  • Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale enterprise platforms and production-grade automation, integrations, services, and engineering capabilities.
  • Experience with policy-as-code, observability, telemetry, runtime validation, monitoring, logging, tracing, and machine-readable compliance evidence.
  • Experience applying Generative AI or Agentic AI to software delivery, operational workflows, platform operations, or autonomous execution.
  • Ability to work autonomously, lead complex cross-team initiatives, establish platform standards, and deliver production-ready solutions in ambiguous environments.
