Base Salary

$87k - $182k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, performance, API, and integration testing.
  • Build scalable automation frameworks with Selenium Grid, parallel execution, cross-browser automation, containerized test suites, and cloud-compatible runners.
  • Integrate test strategies, plans, scripts, and automated pipelines into the FEMA DevSecOps environment.
  • Apply AI-assisted development and testing approaches for script generation, test data creation, defect triage, and coverage validation.
  • Support Section 508 and WCAG accessibility assessments within automation workflows.
  • Collaborate with Agile teams to refine acceptance criteria and enable Acceptance Test Driven Development.
  • Define test metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting for leadership visibility.
  • Manage automated test data, synthetic datasets, and validation rules across distributed systems.
  • Perform debugging, log analysis, root-cause identification, and cross-system defect reproduction.
  • Evaluate business logic, user flows, edge cases, testability gaps, and user experience concerns with cross-functional partners.
  • Mentor junior testers and contribute to quality engineering documentation and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • At least 7 years of testing experience, including at least 5 years of automated testing and 3 years of manual testing or related experience.
  • Programming or scripting experience with Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or similar languages for automated testing.
  • Hands-on experience with at least two of Selenium Grid/WebDriver, Protractor, Jasmine, Cucumber/Gherkin, JUnit, TestNG, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
  • Experience with relational databases, UI/UX testing, and Section 508 compliance testing.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira, Serena Business Manager, or HP QC.
  • Strong communication skills, including technical documentation, defect reporting, and technical articulation.
  • Willingness to work onsite in Washington, DC.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain a DHS/FEMA EOD background investigation.
