Base Salary

$105k - $235k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate highly distributed, large-scale cloud services for Identity and Access Management.
  • Lead the evolution of middleware patterns and runtimes to standardize interoperability at scale.
  • Define versioning, deprecation, rollout, API lifecycle, and interoperability strategies.
  • Drive shared observability baselines, SLOs, error budgets, resilience patterns, monitoring, and service reliability improvements.
  • Design software solutions, lead architecture and code reviews, debug complex issues, and develop fixes and enhancements.
  • Implement comprehensive functional and non-functional testing, quality assurance, logging, performance profiling, and optimization.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to less experienced engineers across teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and customers to resolve complex issues and translate feedback into product enhancements.
  • Apply secure coding practices, maintain systems requiring upgrades or vulnerability patches, and support compliance with engineering standards.
  • Coordinate moderately complex projects and initiatives, provide technical oversight, participate in interviews, and contribute hiring recommendations.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of software development experience.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Go, C#, or other object-oriented languages.
  • Experience delivering high-scale distributed services in production and operating mission-critical Tier-1 live services.
  • Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and system design.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence architectural direction, engineering best practices, and roadmaps.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, technical leadership, and mentoring skills.
  • Preferred: IAM domain expertise and experience with OCI, AWS, Azure, multi-region deployments, and multi-AD/AZ architectures.
  • Preferred: experience with CI/CD pipelines, test-driven development, Docker, enterprise customer collaboration, threat modeling, secure development, and FedRAMP or PCI DSS compliance frameworks.
