Responsibilities
- Design and implement features and performance improvements in the Fivetran core.
- Create highly scalable distributed data pipelines on the cloud.
- Advocate for core values and better engineering practices.
- Lead engineering-wide initiatives for key technologies.
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects to create innovative solutions.
- Work across the project lifecycle from requirements to release.
- Review and approve technical design documents and pull requests.
- Coach and mentor other software engineers.
- Contribute to hiring by participating in the interview process.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to write, test, and deploy well-structured and performant code.
- Experience developing data-processing systems for external-facing products.
- Strong technical communication skills in English.
- Proficient in an object-oriented programming language such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Experience with end-to-end systems profiling, performance, and optimization.
- Experience troubleshooting problems with existing code and systems.
- Familiarity with cloud environment architecture utilizing AWS, GCP, or similar technologies.
