Responsibilities
- Drive and implement comprehensive test strategies using appropriate testing tools and techniques.
- Define system requirements, acceptance criteria, testing scope, and test coverage with business systems analysts and developers.
- Create and maintain automated, exploratory, manual, integration, regression, performance, load, API, and microservices tests.
- Create and maintain test data and validate outputs across web service, user interface, file, and database layers.
- Review team testing outputs, facilitate knowledge transfer, and maintain consistent quality standards.
- Identify defects, risks, requirements gaps, and testing impediments, and provide meaningful test updates to management.
- Demonstrate functionality to product owners and contribute to user story estimates and process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
- Five or more years of experience in a QA or testing technical role.
- Proven experience testing software development in a structured environment and managing defect lifecycles.
- Strong understanding of test levels, including unit testing through user acceptance testing, and cohesive test strategy development.
- Experience with test frameworks and scripting automated functional tests.
- Basic programming knowledge and experience with Python, ETL, SQL, APIs, and microservices testing.
- Understanding of application servers, databases, web services, and high-level system architecture.
- Experience with user stories, acceptance criteria, functional testing, end-to-end testing, regression testing, and smoke testing.
- Ability to collaborate with development, business analysis, project management, and subject matter expert teams.
- AWS experience is preferred; GitHub Copilot test-case experience is preferred.
- Accessibility and security testing experience is a value-added qualification.
- Strong communication, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.
