Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop cloud-based solutions in collaboration with digital product managers.
- Use Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects on service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify improvement opportunities, reduce technical debt, and enhance distributed-system performance.
- Influence long-term technology strategy by evaluating emerging tools and practices.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 7+ years coding with multiple listed languages, and 3+ years with databases, cloud technologies, front-end frameworks, troubleshooting, version control, automated testing, or infrastructure as code.
- Preferred experience includes open-source framework contributions, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, observability, AI-based coding tools, mentoring, cross-functional engineering leadership, and establishing coding standards and design patterns.
