Responsibilities
- Build and maintain on-premises server, network, storage, and C++ build infrastructure, with some AWS infrastructure.
- Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines and release-management tooling.
- Automate operational tasks using scripts, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Maintain source-code management systems and support distributed compilation for C++ projects.
- Manage secure firmware signing and key-management systems.
- Respond to monitoring alerts and provide coverage for critical infrastructure issues.
- Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot problems, improve products, and ensure smooth software releases.
- Maintain technical documentation covering operating procedures, change management, and inventories.
- Explore and adopt AI-assisted coding and agent-based automation for infrastructure and CI/CD tooling.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience as a Linux system administrator or engineer, including experience with multiple Linux distributions.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Gerrit, Zuul, and GitHub Actions.
- Scripting or programming experience with Python, Bash, or G.
- Experience with Salt, Ansible, or Terraform for configuration management and infrastructure as code.
- Experience with Git and revision-control utilities.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, or Icinga.
- AWS cloud experience is preferred.
- Experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT is preferred.
- Ability to manage varied tasks in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
