Base Salary
$200k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own technical strategy and establish delivery standards and operating procedures for Forward Deployed Engineering and Solutions Engineering.
- Lead complex, ambiguous, new-vertical, non-standard API, and hosted-experience integrations end to end.
- Create reusable architecture, shared modules, templates, tooling, playbooks, and runbooks that scale team output.
- Architect and govern AI-native engineering practices, including code-generation pipelines, mapping automation, test-scaffolding agents, and human-review gates.
- Mentor FDEs through design and code reviews and raise the team’s engineering standards.
- Drive Product and Engineering feedback loops to reduce bespoke work and expand future capacity.
- Lead technical working sessions with partner engineering teams and collaborate with Product, Engineering, Solutions Engineering, and commercial stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience, including experience in a senior or staff-level integration, platform, or forward-deployed engineering role.
- Production-quality programming experience in Scala and/or Python, with working familiarity with Node.js and TypeScript for SDKs and tooling.
- Deep REST/JSON API expertise, including authentication, idempotency, schema evolution, versioning, monitoring, and incident response.
- Demonstrated ability to build reusable architecture, tooling, or playbooks that scale team output without proportional headcount growth.
- Experience using AI-native tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot, with judgment about when deterministic approaches are preferable.
- Ability to facilitate technical working sessions with partner engineering teams.
- People leadership or strong informal team leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong pattern recognition, ownership of complex work, strategic judgment, collaboration, mentoring, and technical communication skills.
