Responsibilities
- Analyze complex business and system processes to define and develop solutions.
- Modernize applications using service-oriented architecture, microservices, design patterns, and domain-driven services.
- Develop backend services with Java, Spring, REST APIs, JSON, SQL, PL/SQL, XML, JPA, and Oracle.
- Build UI/UX components using Angular or React.
- Integrate applications using JMS, Solace, Kafka, and middleware technologies.
- Deploy containerized services using Docker, Kubernetes, and the Enterprise Container System.
- Develop and maintain standards for analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
- Consult with end users to define functional specifications and incorporate them into system designs.
- Allocate work and act as an advisor or coach to developers, analysts, and new team members.
- Assess and manage business, compliance, control, and technology risks.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of software development experience.
- Backend experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and Python.
- Frontend experience with Angular, React, and TypeScript.
- Database and data experience with Oracle, Snowflake, SQL, Apache Spark, MongoDB, and SQL/NoSQL systems.
- Experience with caching technologies including Caffeine, Guava, DuckDB, and Couchbase.
- DevOps experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience using Copilot, Claude, and Devin AI coding assistants.
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with software engineering and architecture, including full-stack and data expertise.
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, development, relationship-building, and consensus-building skills.
- Citi Ledger and Components subject matter expertise is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes vector databases, embeddings, LLMs, RAG, agentic AI, and MCP.
