Responsibilities
- Build and maintain high-volume services for prescription intake, processing, billing, clinical workflows, and pharmacy fulfillment.
- Architect an extensible inventory management platform balancing inventory levels and product availability.
- Use LLMs to parse unstructured prescription data and increase intake automation.
- Integrate controlled-substance dispensing history and risk scores into pharmacist safety and review workflows.
- Optimize drug selection to improve patient pricing outcomes.
- Design scalable, maintainable, and resilient systems for healthcare and e-commerce workflows.
- Mentor engineers and promote strong software development and design practices.
- Act as a technical thought leader for predictive systems and complex platform strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience in a high-volume, high-throughput production environment.
- Deep experience with backend or full-stack technologies, including Ruby on Rails, TypeScript or JavaScript, and PostgreSQL.
- Expertise architecting complex systems for maintainability, performance, and scalability.
- Experience building high-volume, resilient systems and applying engineering best practices such as code review, documentation, bug fixing, and production issue mitigation.
- Preferred: experience with supply chain optimization systems.
- Preferred: proficiency with FuzeRx’s technology stack and Python for ML initiatives.
- Preferred: experience building and integrating predictive ML models.
- Preferred: experience designing and implementing service-oriented architectures.
- Ability to mentor peers, take ownership, solve problems pragmatically, and operate effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to meet the stated physical, communication, computer-use, travel, and occasional lifting requirements.
