Responsibilities
- Collaborate with peers to develop, troubleshoot, enhance, and document software components.
- Translate requirements into functional specifications and coordinate design phases.
- Create and review technical design documents and facilitate technical design and troubleshooting meetings.
- Participate in reviews of technical specifications, programs, code, and unit test plans.
- Conduct unit testing using automated testing frameworks and perform performance tuning.
- Plan implementation activities, assess technical solution quality, provide third-level support, and contribute to platform improvements.
- Present technical topics, plan work packages, and estimate design, coding, and testing activities.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution with a focus on computer science, engineering, or technology.
- Eligible to complete a full 4–8 month co-op term with the school.
- Experience or understanding of programming languages, databases, platforms, frameworks, design techniques and tools, code management tooling, and/or web technologies.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle methods.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Leadership acumen, strong interpersonal and communication skills, creativity, analytical thinking, self-direction, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Unified Modeling Language and cross-browser development experience are nice-to-have qualifications.
