Base Salary
$209k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver machine learning models and components for business problems in collaboration with Product and Data Science teams.
- Build and scale multi-tenant platforms for large-scale machine learning model training and serving.
- Make ML infrastructure decisions using knowledge of modeling, data and feature selection, training, tuning, dimensionality, bias and variance, and validation.
- Write and test application code, develop and validate ML models, and automate tests and deployment.
- Retrain, maintain, monitor, and operate machine learning models and services in production.
- Build cloud-based architectures and optimized data pipelines for machine learning models.
- Apply testing, deployment, monitoring, governance, Responsible AI, and Explainable AI practices.
- Use programming languages including Python, Scala, or Java.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 6 years of programming experience with Python, Java, Golang, or C++.
- At least 6 years of machine learning experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow and libraries including Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
- At least 6 years of experience using and operating large-scale distributed systems such as Spark and Ray for AI or machine learning data.
- At least 4 years of experience deploying and operating machine learning solutions in production and operating cloud production services with AWS, GCP, or Azure and Kubernetes.
- A master's or doctoral degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes optimizing ML algorithms and infrastructure, software development best practices, resilient production systems, deployment strategies, monitoring, incident response, ML techniques and architectures, and production-ready training data pipelines.
- At least 4 years of on-the-job experience with an industry-recognized ML framework such as Dask or XGBoost is preferred.
- ML industry impact through conference presentations, papers, blog posts, open-source contributions, or patents is preferred.
- Ability to communicate complex technical and machine learning concepts clearly to varied audiences.
