Base Salary
$243k - $295k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop avatar abilities that exceed previous quality standards using advanced animation techniques.
- Design, implement, and ship new default abilities from prototypes to production.
- Build robust, reusable systems for avatar abilities that are reliable across various experiences.
- Collaborate with designers, animators, and engineers to translate creative concepts into technical implementations.
- Define and maintain engineering best practices for ability development.
- Profile and optimize abilities for performance across a range of devices.
- Partner with teams to ensure ease of integration for developers.
- Use feedback and metrics to improve the performance and reliability of abilities.
- Mentor other engineers in avatar animation and large-scale engine development.
Requirements
- A strong technical foundation with a degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Advanced expertise in avatar or character animation systems.
- Proven software engineering skills in C++ and a high-level scripting language like Lua or Python.
- Experience with CG interactive characters and integrating them into game engines.
